Hello there After just completing my film degree it is very vindicating to see that I am finally good at something I love to do. Every project I've worked on always fills me with a sense of nervous energy that never changes no matter how many films I work on. To me this is always what is boosting me to try harder and push the boat to achieve excellence in any and all areas. I tend to prefer substance of story rather than flashy presentation. What stimulates me in a film is the characters, the more complex the better. Humans are so profoundly interesting and unique that there are endless stories you can tell with them. Or tell once and then remake over and over again, Hollywood I'm looking at you. I prefer typically grounded stories where all the events of the story are plausible given what we know of the characters and the world. My favourite film is Nolans' The Dark Knight because I love how the hero in cosplay and villain in make up feel so realistic despite on paper being a bit silly. The stories I want to tell are similar in a way, I love out of this world characters who are still able to seem grounded in reality as if they could actually be real. I want to tell tales of hit men especially. I know this is quite typical of young filmmakers but I feel there is much untapped potential there. It would just be interesting to examine them as real people living in the same world that we do; with the same problems as us. On set I feel comfortable in both minor and major roles, I've always been good at taking orders and while at University I've gained a lot of confidence to be a decision maker too. I think this is essential as a team player which is essential for me. Everyone on set needs to be working together at all times. One can be as talented as you like but if you're not willing to listen to reason or jeopardise the film for selfish convictions then you shouldn't be part of said team. Thankfully I like to think I fall in the team player category. I'm always hard working and driven to fulfilling any deed given to me. Like basically everyone on here, my favourite pass time is watching films of course, however I am an avid table tennis player as well in my spare time. I also enjoy going to the gym to stay fit and healthy which it helps to be when working in the Art Department. Also I love to debate film topics so if you hire me, I'll always keep everyone active on set. Some starter topics - Spider-man 3 is good. - Star Wars was never that great to begin with. - Watchmen is absolute trash. I am mainly interested in Directing and Art Department, however I am competent with almost any task when given instructions. I just want to get my foot in the industry so I can keep pushing forward instead of slowing down and becoming complacent with my work. Any role given to me will be filled by a diligent, punctual and focused mindset. Thank you for reading.
