This degree explores the creative and technical aspects of filmmaking within a wide variety of settings. With an emphasis on hands-on training, you will have access to our industry standard digital cameras and film production equipment, enabling you to learn the processes and techniques to ensure that the projects you work on and the visions you imagine, can become realities for multiple platforms.

Combining the basics of scriptwriting, directing, sound and editing, this course has been designed to provide a practical first taste of filmmaking. Throughout the course you’ll be introduced to a range of technical roles to produce your own short film using industry standard equipment and software.

Covering ideas generation, pre-production, shooting and post-production this course is designed for students looking to advance their filmmaking skills. Using our industry-standard equipment, you will write, direct and edit a film. You’ll learn the technical, creative and business knowledge of filmmaking as you explore various production roles including, screenwriter, director, camera operator, sound recorder, producer and editor.
