Film Production Work Experience

When millions of pounds are invested in a feature film there is a great deal of pressure to ensure that the film is completed and within budget. How is this process managed? Who manages it? What if it goes wrong?

This unique work placement scheme is your window into the world of the film production executive, providing an insight into confidential feature film budgets, schedules and the big decisions that go on behind the scenes.

About Us

Our company provides guarantees of completion for films, we offer film financiers assurances that the films they are investing in will be delivered on time and that any over budget costs will not be their responsibility.

We work on feature films ranging in budget from 1.5 million to over £100 million. We work with the productions to ensure budgets and schedules are adhered to and help find solutions if things go wrong. It is fascinating work that requires a complete understanding of film production, the costs, logistics, and processes.

What is involved?

The placement involves shadowing our executives as they analyse productions that apply to our company for completion guarantees and the monitoring of those productions on which we have undertaken a guarantee.

You will have to sign a confidentiality agreement as day to day you will be handling and reading sensitive information about well-known feature films, from scheduling to casting.

We will provide you with the opportunity to get stuck in, speak to clients, attend meetings and help those in the office as part of our team.

What will I learn?

You will gain a rare insight into how feature films are made from the 'behind the scenes' viewpoint of the film executives. You will learn about budgeting, scheduling, cost control and industry news with real life examples of the projects are currently working on.

This is an on-going work experience scheme, taking on a new candidate each month.
