This is an exciting project NFTS grad student project. Pushing expectations by including stunts, large crowd scenes and multiple extras. The film will be shot over seven days, with four in and around Beaconsfield and three at the Birmingham BMX Track in Perry Park. The culmination of the film and shooting schedule is the recreation of a BMX World Championship race. For this we have secured a venue and the backing of multiple national teams and riders.
Set in the world of competitive BMX racing, our film depicts the story of Alicia, a championship athlete, who is struggling to recover from an injury sustained in a crash earlier in the season. Her confidence waiving and relationship with her coach, and father, straining; Alicia must find the strength to compete and return to former success.
What we'll need you for is supporting our production, AD and art teams across the shoot and particularly the final day, 14th July. We can offer a great experience, travel reimbursement and food. Ideally you'll be based within half an hour's drive of each location and we would love to have you join us for either part of this amazing film.
