In this difficult time where we are all suffering and not just a little stressed, we at MFJF would like to give a little back help to our members get through this.
To that end, we aim to commission 10 articles a week to be published on our website, written exclusively by MFJF Members for MFJF Members.
Article lengths should be 1000 - 2000 words.
There is no limit to the number of articles you can pitch for consideration. Please use the Cover Letter upload to pitch more than one. You will also need to upload your CV.
Each week this advert will renew so you can pitch further ideas if you are initially unsuccessful.
Subjects could include:
- Careers in Script Development
- Finding work in the Art Department
- How much you can expect to earn when starting out
- Making a career as a director
- How did you start your career? What tips and advice do you have?
This is just a quick list to prompt ideas, we are open to any and all suggestions from your personal experience of finding work and starting your film career.
The general theme is advice, learning and help for others looking to start their film career.
We will contact those selected each week giving you two weeks to write the content. Payment will be made once the completed article has been submitted to us, drafts, basic ideas do not count. Importantly, the quality of writing must be of a high enough standard to publish. We are not looking for award-winning journalism, we are realistic, the standard will vary. But it must reach a threshold we deem good enough to publish.
If you have any questions, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to receiving your ideas and passing on your advice to others.
