An Incredibly exciting NFTS grad stop motion animation production is looking for multiple volunteer art department assistants available for intervals between 1st June and September. It will be a great opportunity to get hands-on experience within building sets and props for stop motion animations.
Project: ‘Build Me Up’
Contact: Student Designer, Kate Beard
Dates: 1st June – September
Main Locations: NFTS, Beaconsfield
‘Build Me Up’ follows two young robots, Sprocket and Vera, navigating the loss of their creator (and father figure) whilst travelling through a post climate disaster ice age world with relics of past human existence. They are in all senses alone, their only companions are each other and their home/vehicle ‘The Timekeeper’. We watch them navigate their grief and their surroundings in order to come together stronger and more free than ever. To support this story we will have multiple intricate sets from Icy crevasse’s to funeral pyres, to the inside of the moving home so there is a broad range of building experience to be gained and creative choices to be made.
We have a fantastic team with an impressive range of experience. Our Producer has worked for Aardman Animations for the past years on many well-known productions and out DoP has shot feature films. We also have a talented post team made up of including an award winning composer. It would be a great opportunity to make some connections in the world of film and animation.
