NFTS ANIMATION Fundamental Interactions seeking Volunteers who are interested in 2D animation and possibly have some experience with cut out animation and painting with watercolours, water soluble wax pastels and/ or Indian ink.
Fundamental Interactions will be shot at the National film and television school in Beaconsfield so we are looking for volunteers who are an easily commutable distance from Beaconsfield. This is a volunteer (unpaid) position but we can cover travel expenses to and from London and a small lunch allowance. Production begins from 27th July for a period of approximately 22 weeks.
Fundamental Interactions is an experimental combination of stories which follows three characters each in pursuit of their own goals. As their individual stories progress, the characters’ self-centred expectations catch up with them, as they realise that they are not the centre of the world but a part of it.
Fundamental Interactions is a 2D animated film exercise that uses a mix of animation on paper, cut-outs and various materials. It will initially use single layered 2D animation, gradually changing to several layers on the multiplane to compose shots with a feeling of depth and space, using lighting and natural shadows to look 3D.
If you are interested in taking part in this project, we would love to hear from you If you can include details of your availability and an indication of your skill level that would be very helpful.
